Local elections - 1 May 2025
Local elections take place on 1 May 2025 for the following bodies:
- Acton Burnell, Frodesley, Pitchford, Ruckley and Langley Parish Council
- Shropshire Council (Burnell Ward)
Notices of Election and Statement of Persons Nominated for these elections can be downloaded at the bottom of this page. Please note the Parish Council seats are uncontested; therefore no vote will take place for these on 1 May 2025. Notice of Uncontested Elections are also available to download at the bottom of this page. A vote will take place for the Burnell ward of Shropshire Council.
Could you be a Councillor?
The Parish Council needs one more Councillor for Pitchford. The Parish Council will be looking to co-opt someone to become a Councillor at its next meeting on 13 May 2025. Voting in the election
To vote in this election you must be registered to vote. If you’re not already, the deadline for registering to vote was midnight on Friday 11 April.
To vote at a polling station you’ll need an accepted form of photo ID. Voters will need to show original documents; copies or duplicates aren't accepted. To see what ID is accepted – and to apply for free ID (known as a voter authority certificate), go to the Electoral Commission website. .The deadline to apply for a VAC is 5pm on 23 April.
